Happy Easter！今日はEaster Sundayです。
Easterは十字架にかけられて死んだイエス．キリストが
その後、三日目によみがえった事を記念する復活の日です。
Easterと言えばEaster eggs. 復活祭をお祝いするのに
欠かせない卵ですが、今では昔のように染めたり、塗ったりする
卵ではなくチョコレートで作られた卵やプラステックで作られた
卵で代用しています。
プラステックの卵は半分に割れるようになっていて
中にお金を入れたり、キャンディを入れたりします。
子供達がまだ小さかった頃、Easterは私達夫婦にとって
忙しい年間行事の一つでした。
たくさんの卵をゆで卵にし、子供達と作ったEaster Eggs.
Easter Eggを作る材料はスーパーなどでも売られています。
Dye（染料）を使って卵をカラフルに変えていきます。
Easterバスケットを作り子供達が寝た後でリビングルームに
用意しておきました。
Easterバニーが持ってきたと思わせるように、
子供達には見つからないように毎年3つのバスケットを
作ったものでした。
Easter Basketは出来合いのバスケットも
数多く売られていますが、私達は、毎年バスケットを
買って自分達でバスケットの中にいれるEasterバニーの
チョコレート、タマゴの形をしたチョコレートなどを
自分達で飾り付けして作っていました。
Easterの朝、子供達に探させる為にEaster Eggsを庭に隠し
子供達とEaster egg hunting. 本当に懐かしい思い出です。
私が昔よく作っていたEaster dinnerのメニューです。
とても簡単ですので作ってみてくださいね。
Baked whole ham with pineapple glaze
骨付きのCookedハム Cooked ham with the bone
缶詰のパイナップル Caned Pineapple
ブラウンシュガー Brown sugar
1. ハムはRoasting pan(ロースと用の鉄板)の上において
切れ目を切れます。
2. 切れ目の間にパイナップル（輪切りになっているパイナップルを
半分に切ったもの）を入れていきます。
切れ目はバランスよく切ると間に入れたパイナップルが
きれいに見えます。
3. 缶詰の中のパイナップルジュースとブランシュガーを
混ぜてソースを作っておきます。
4. オーブンを325Fにセットしておく。
5. はけでソースをハム全体につけます。
残ったジュースは直接ハムの上からかけておきます。
6. アルミホイルでカバーしてオーブンに入れます。
7. 1時間後にホイルを外しPanの下に残っているジュースを
はけでハムの上にかけます。
8. ホイルなしで再びオーブンに入れます。
１時間後には光沢（Glaze）のあるハムのできあがりです。
我が家の子供達もすっかり成長してEaster Basketを
欲しがる年ではありませんが、子供達3人に可愛い
Easter basketを今年もやっぱり用意しました。
「ええ?」とビックリしていましたが、
特に一番下のあゆみはとても嬉しそうに
バスケットの中身を見ていました。
今夜は家族があつまり我が家で食事です。
