昨日はHalloweenでした。
毎年Halloweenの前には、多くの計画を立てて
かなり盛り上がるのに今年は全くその気に
なれませんでした。
理由は自分でも分からないのですが
多分、仕事がたくさんありすぎて自分の中で遊び心が
飛んでしまったような・・・そんな気がします。
去年は友達やＢＹＢの生徒さんや先生達を我が家にご招待して
かなり大掛かりなHalloween Partyをしたのですが。
タイミングを逃してしまったのかもしれません。
それでも、trick or treatで家にやってくる子供達のために
ビルがキャンディーだけはたくさん用意して待っていました。
一昔前は今のようにキャンディーを入れるバックやバケットのような物は
なく、子供達はマクラカバーを持ってtrick or treatと言いながら、
家々を回っていたそうです。
キャンディーをマクラカバーの中に入れてもらい家に帰る頃は
そのマクラカバーがキャンディーで一杯になったそうです。
最近はHalloween用にキャンディーを入れる可愛いかぼちゃの形をした
バック等が売られていますので、ほとんどの子供達は
それらを持って家々を回っています。
今夜一人だけ真っ白なマクラカバーを持って歩いている子が
我が家にもきました。ビルはひどく感動したようでした。
金曜日の夜なんですが、子供たちからのギフトで
サンタモニカにビルと二人で行ってきました。
1. ＢＹＢを午後5時に出るようにと子供たちから。
5時以降のアポは入れないように。必ず午後5時にはＢＹＢを
出るようにとのメッセージ。
⇒どこに行くの？と私
⇒行く前には分かるようにしてあるからと娘。
2. 午後5時なると封筒を渡されました。
開けてみると、サンタモニカにあるレストランのアドレスが明記された
地図が入っていました。
サンタモニカプロムナードにあるYankee doodleと言う
レストランに行くように書かれていました。
⇒午後7時15分にはそのレストランを出るようにと。。。息子
⇒出てどこに行くの？と私
⇒その時に言うから心配しないようにと。。。娘
3. 久々のサンタモニカプロムナードにビルと二人で
金曜日の夜に行くなんてとワクワクでした。
レストランで食事をしていると娘から携帯にTextが。
⇒車のダッシュボードの中に次に行く場所の手紙が入っているから
そろそろレストランを出るようにと書かれていました。
4. 車に戻ってみてみると・・・いつ入れたのか分かりませんが
ちゃんと封筒が入っていました。
その中にKooza Cirque Du Soleilのチケットが2枚と
そのPerformanceが行われている場所の地図が入っていました。
食事をしたレストランから車で5分ぐらいのところに
その場所はありました。
とても大きなテントが張られ中に入るとまるで
劇場そのものの作りです。 すばらしいショーでした。
