今週の木曜日はTurkey Day感謝祭（Thanksgiving Day）です。
4連休に入ります。何だかそれだけでもワクワクします。
今年のThanksgivingは友人達をたくさん招待して盛大に行います。
私の家族も含めると総勢で30名ぐらいになります。
友人夫婦がTurkey（七面鳥）を！我が家はハムを焼くことになっています。
他の友人達もたくさんお料理を持って来ます。
今年もかなり「Lucky!」な感謝祭になりそうです。
感謝際の主な料理はTurkey（七面鳥）で、4時間から6時間ぐらいかけて
オーブンでじっくり焼きます。最近ではBBQで焼く家族も増えているようです。
又、州によっては油で丸ごと揚げたTurkeyを食べるようです。
Turkey以外にパンプキンパイやヤムと言うお芋の一種等が
テーブルに並びますが、その家庭や州によってこの日に出される
メニューはかなり異なるようです。
感謝際は一体いつ頃から始まったのかと少し調べてみました。
なんと1863年にリンカーン大統領が11月の第４週目の木曜日に
この日を定めたそうです。
1620年代に宗教的な問題から逃れるために清教徒達が
アメリカにやってきました。
その当事アメリカンインディアン達に助けられた清教徒達は
その翌年に、初めての収穫を行い収穫に感謝をするとともに
助けてくれたアメリカンインディアン達に感謝の気持ちを込めて
大規模な収穫祭を行ったのがThanksgiving Dayの始まりのようです。
感謝祭の翌日は、Black Fridayと呼ばれる年間では最も大規模な
バーゲンセールがスタートします。Black Fridayは東海岸で1966年に
スタートしましたが、2000年ごろにはほとんどの州に広まったそうです。
どのお店も買い物客で賑わい、開店前のモールなどでは信じられないぐらいの
多くの買い物客達が並んで待っているほどです。大きなバーゲンをやっている
店の前では多くの買い物客達が徹夜をして待っているほどです。
買い物をするなら絶対に感謝祭の次の日です。
デパートやモールなどではクリスマスに向けて大々的なバーゲンが
始まります。
街全体があわただしい感じになり、クリスマスが近いことそして
2009年の終わりを感じますよ。
なんとなく気持ちが焦ってくる時期ですね。

I believe that avoiding packaged foods may be the first step to be able to lose weight. They may taste very good, but packaged foods include very little nutritional value, making you take more just to have enough power to get throughout the day. Should you be constantly ingesting these foods, converting to cereals and other complex carbohydrates will aid you to have more vitality while feeding on less. Great blog post.
While I tend to side with the post I strongly believe that car insurance has become too complex for the average policy holder. Just like any serious purchase however you must perform due diligence and research the insurance companies before you purchase.

The things i have observed in terms of pc memory is the fact that there are specific features such as SDRAM, DDR and many others, that must match the requirements of the motherboard.
