普段生活をしていてこんな時どう言ったら良いんだろうと思ったことがあると思います。又いつも同じ表現方法しか出来ていない人の為にも役立つコーナーです。新しい表現方法を覚えて使ってみましょうね。 このコーナーに関しましては読者からの疑問もどんどん取り上げていきたいと思っていますので、BYBまでメールで質問をお送りくださいね → byb@pacbell.net １． 相手のグラスが空になっていて飲み物を注ぐ時、相手がどのくらい欲しいのか分からない時：Say when?と言えばいいのです。また、言われた人は「それで充分です」という量になったらThat's enough, thank you.と言えばいいですね。 ２． 「何度も電話してごめんね」と前置きをしてから電話で話したい時：Sorry to bother you again, this is Yoko.と言ってから用件を話し始めるといいですね。 ３． レストランでサラダなどを友人と分けて食べたいのでお皿をもう一枚持ってきて欲しいとウエイトレスに伝えたい時：Excuse me, can I/we have another plate? 友達とShareしたい（分けたい）からなどと言う必要はありません。例えば友人二人とレストランでピザを一人前注文した時に「二人で一人前？」のような顔をされた場合はWe are going to share the pizza.と言えばいいですね。 ４． 郵便局で切手を買いたい時：Give me a roll of stamps, please. 日本ではこのような売り方をしませんので訳し方が難しいのですが、roll of stampsは３７セントの切手が100枚ロール上になって売られているものです。切手をまとめて購入したい時には便利な表現方法ですね。またシート状になっている切手もあります。この場合は20枚の切手が一枚のシートになっています。 |

While I tend to agree with the post I sincerely believe that car insurance has become too complex for the average car insurance policy holder. Just like any important purchase however you must perform due diligence and research the companies before you purchase.
